Led panels and cubes

Creating unique display options using LED matrix panels.

By using 64x64 led matrix panels and Novastar receiving cards, we are able to create non-standard display sizes and configurations that make for a unique and interesting experience outside of a standard computer display or monitor.

Experimenting with different translucent materials, we can put displays into real world scenarios where a standard monitor either wouldn’t fit, or wouldn’t achieve the same effect. Here, we’re testing wood veneer under glass to create table or counter tops with readable and changeable text built in.

We also found that we can create real world 3d objects out of the displays themselves. A cube is an obvious choice, and there are many “famous” cubes to get inspiration from.

We’re excited to keep playing with these and create some really cool displays and make some fun interactions with them.
